Almost every week a guest asks us the same question at the desk: “We only have two days — what should we do?” After years of trial, error and taxi timetables, this is the answer we give, refined into a weekend that never feels rushed.
Start in Mykonos Town before ten, when the lanes off Matoyianni are still quiet and the light is soft. Wander without a map — getting lost is the point — then work your way to Paraportiani Church and the old harbour for coffee. In the late afternoon, climb to the windmills of Kato Mili and wait for golden hour; the view over Little Venice is the postcard everyone comes for.
For dinner, book a table on the water in Little Venice at least a day ahead and order the catch of the day. If you still have energy, the bars behind the waterfront stay lively long after midnight.
Sleep in, then walk from the hotel to Psarou or Platis Gialos for a swim before the beach clubs fill up. In the afternoon choose your pace: a boat to Delos if you want history, or a sunbed and a long lunch if you don’t. End the weekend on the west coast — Agios Ioannis faces Delos and serves the island’s gentlest sunset.
Ask the concierge desk before you set out — we time transfers around the ferry and bus schedules daily, and we know which beach is out of the wind on any given afternoon.
